“Easier said than done”. How often do you find yourself saying this or thinking it? I admit I have.. but not so much anymore. I found that learning how to actually get things done requires more from your mindset than your physical abilities it seems.
Well, in this post, I am going to let you in on a secret and show you how getting things done just can be a snap of your fingers away.
1. Make a decision
First things first, in order to get things done, you need to know what you want and be sure about it. Read my previous post to get you started on decision making and setting life goals.
It takes some time to make these kinds of decisions but without that, you have no guidance. Think about your priorities, organise them by writing them down.
I only started writing things down a few months ago. Truth is, life gets very busy for a woman who is about her business and set out to achieve lots of goals. It enables you to stay organised and right on schedule.
The best part is, it keeps you accountable to your daily tasks.
2. Make plans by the hour
A sure fire way to ensure getting more things done quicker, is to start planning your day by the hour . I’ve made several to do lists with about 7-8 tasks and achieving only 2 by the end of the day.
Hourly scheduling is key to keeping yourself accountable for every minute of the day. You know what you should be doing at every minute of the day and when you get to be on a break. This is an important self care tip that will allow you achieve more and create more free time and happiness for yourself.
Unforeseen circumstances that require immediate attention may come up, and if it does, all you have to do is reschedule the preceding task for another time.
3. Be your best self
Being in your best shape is essentially what facilitates your daily tasks. Exercise, stay hydrated and keep up with your beauty and skincare regimen while getting things done.
Stay on top of your self care regimen. Getting ill and being stressed out will only cause delays to the progress you should be making.
4. Manage your energy
Change the way you work by achieving more and doing less. Working hard is not necessarily the same as working smart. In order to achieve this, a lot of brainstorming and researching goes into it.
For this, I use my planner to narrow down my options and choices and eventually find what works best.
